Education of Law - Need of the hour
—Jagdish Gandhi



Lucknow, July 25: The elite Club of Lucknow invited Renowned Educationist and Founder-Manager of City Montessori School, Lucknow, Shri Jagdish Gandhi as a Guest Speaker to deliver a keynote speech on the topic "Education of Law - Need of the hour" at the Dinner Meeting held on Friday, July 24th, 2009 at 8.00 p.m. at PICUP Auditorium, Gomti Nagar, Lucknow. Shri Atul Kumar Gupta (IAS), Chairman, Club of Lucknow had extended this special invitation to Dr Jagdish Gandhi. The Chief Public Relations Officer of CMS, Shri Hari Om Sharma, has given this information to press and media.

The meeting was presided over by Prof. S. Chakravorty, Vice-Chairman, Club of Lucknow and Director, Jaipuria Institute of Management, Lucknow. Among the eminent guests present in the Dinner Meeting were Mr. R. K. Mittal, Senior I.A.S. and Principal Secretary, Social Welfare, Govt. of Uttar Pradesh along with Prof. Prem Vrat, Vice-Chancellor, Uttar Pradesh Technical University (UPTU), Lucknow along with many other beauracrats, professors and intelligentsia of Lucknow City associated with Club of Lucknow. The Dinner Meeting started with a fellowship and then by lighting the lamp, welcome and introduction of the Speaker, Dr Jagdish Gandhi. In his speech at the Dinner Meeting Dr Gandhi emphasis on Education of law to children and adults and said that Education of Law & Justice must be made compulsory from childhood, the world over & (ii) every child should be made law abiding & just right from the childhood, to establish Divine Civilization on earth in place of Rapidly Increasing lawless, unjust & Satanic Civilization. Basic principles of Law & Justice must be taught compulsorily from the early childhood all over the world and every child must be made law abiding and just in his/her formative age, to establish divine civilization on earth in place of rapidly increasing lawless, unjust & Satanic Civilization. All laws should be enacted and interpreted according to the exigencies of social needs of the time, to award Justice & justice must be real justice, that is – no denial of human rights & justice even to an innocent child, the poorest, the helpless & the weakest men, as revealed in Holy Bhagwat Geeta & all the other Holy Books of God.

A visionary and a far-sighted person, Dr Jagdish Gandhi has been building bridges of peace across the globe for nearly fifty years. For his long-standing contributions to education in peace, the United Nations awarded the prestigious UNESCO Prize for Peace Education in the year 2002 of US$ 30,000/- to his unique creation - the City Montessori School, popularly known as CMS, which Dr Gandhi founded in 1959 and has been serving as its Founder-Manager. Shri Gandhi believes that World Judiciary is the only and the last hope for survival of law and humanity and therefore he is organizing every year for the past nine years, the World Judiciary Summits and the International Conferences of Chief Justices of the World of which the 10th Annual Conference, the World Judiciary Summit will be held from 11 to 14 December 2009 at CMS Kanpur Road Campus, Lucknow.

Shri Sharma further told that Dr Jagdish Gandhi realizes that in the fast changing materialistic world where people are though armed with life-skills are leaving their morals and ethics. Students are reaching the zenith of their chosen field but at the cost of neglecting their ethics for which they need proper Education of Law.
